Sketching
A rough or unfinished drawing, often made to assist in the making of a more finished picture.

Hatching &
Cross-Hatching

Contour Drawing
A drawing that utilizes one continuous line and defines the form or shape of a subject.

Stippling
The process of drawing using numerous small dots or specks to create the illusion of a three-dimensional subject.

Blending
The technique of gently intermingling two or more colors or values to create a gradual transition in gradient.

Additive/Subtractive
Drawing
The building of values to create depth and form by placing line after line on paper or removing pigment from the paper to define the form and depth.
